Healthcare entrepreneur Bobby Wamble has been named Chief Operating Officer of Care Technology Systems, Inc., a Tennessee-based healthcare company that provides data analytics and remote monitoring to help caregivers improve the safety of aging seniors in their residences.

Wamble was most recently vice president of specialty pharmacy field operations for BriovaRx, a billion-dollar specialty pharmacy company he helped found in 2003 as MedfusionRx. Earlier this year he retired from BriovaRx, which had become the fifth largest specialty pharmacy in the nation.

The new Care Technology Systems COO will oversee daily operations of the company, driving performance measures and allowing President Jim Anderson to focus more time on strategy and sales.

“We’re excited to have Bobby join us,” Anderson said in making the announcement.  “He brings a great understanding of not only the healthcare industry, but the entrepreneurial and process sides of the business, as well.  We successfully coaxed him out of retirement to join us because of his excitement for our product and I expect his experience will be invaluable as we continue expanding our reach and serving clients.”

Formed in 2011 and winner of a Tennessee Technology Development Corporation grant as the state’s best healthcare innovation, Care Technology Systems uses technology to help seniors maintain their independence and lifestyle as they age, while giving caregivers a reliable tool to help seniors do so.  The company’s technology is integrated into the resident’s daily life and works quietly in the background, alerting caregivers and/or a call center when there is an issue/threat to the senior’s health or safety.  The system is unique in both its affordability and its invisibility to the seniors who don’t want to change their lifestyle.

In addition to founding MedfusionRx, Wamble has also held pharmacy management positions in Middle Tennessee.   He is a 1994 graduate of the McWhorter School of Pharmacy at Samford University in Birmingham, AL.

Wamble joins other members of the leadership team at Care Technology Systems that include Robert Hendrick, chief executive officer, Drew Johnson, chief technology officer, and Jonathan Barnes, vice president of sales.
